Another case of Bryopsis

If you pop the bubble it will disperse spores and spread quickly. If you are able to syphon them as you are popping I guess that could work.

But yes emeralds will consume corals if given the opportunity.
That's y you have the syphon tube right next to the bubble algae as you brush them off. And yes you try not to break them.

just curious and the Emerald crabs dont pop them?would i need more than 1 for a 45 gallon tank?

Question I just added reef flux into my tank but I did not turn off skimmer or UV.. I also did not remove the sponges and poly. Do I need to replace the sponges?

Well I started reef Flux on Friday 2/21/2020 and I can I do not see any bryopsis in my tank!!! This stuff rocks. I also had a patch of bubble algae and on day 4 It became loose and started to fly around in my tank. I thought it was a piece if Seaweed but it was the whole cluster of bubble algae. I did notice my phosphates and nitrates are a little up from what they usually are. Being that it is only 5 days should I wait the full 3 weeks or should I do a 30% water change on Friday as it will be 7 days since dosing?
