Another cycle question

Hmmm. Shrimp has been out of tank nearly 3 days. Ammonia steady, slow rise on Nitrite, Nitrate ridiculous. Phosphate was over 2. Sure it's even more off the wall now.

Case of that "fully cured" rock still breaking down? Bac r clearly working.

You're cycling, just let nature take its course, no need for bacteris in a bottle, but adding some "PRIME" will be good...Only question is why did you use dry sand, if there is no bacteria throughout the sand you could encounter issues later once you start feeding fish.

Dun and done. After a few days of stagnation, she swung hard and brought it home from >1ppm ammonia to 0 in under 24 hrs. NI trite 0 as well. Nitrate and phosphate laughably high. Big wc's next few days

The asterina didn't make it through the ammonia spike. I was going to let them be.
