Another light question, even tho I already asked one today

Yeah, I really wanted the radions, but for me that would be an entire month of work. So basically, the amount of time I would have to work being 16 working at a pet shop would be about a month. I would easily drop the money for the reef breeders, but it’s the amount of time I work for it

you can always start with one and buy the 2nd one down the line.

if you really want the Radion, go for that, but the AI prime is a good light too.

Sure, or you could mount them a little closer to the surface of the water.

Maybe I will.. what if I started out with two AI primes, then upgraded to two more?

I mean, what if I got two of them then let my tank wait a couple months for coral, then buy two-four more for a mixed reef? 2 primes would be okay for just fish and Live rock, right?

What website??? For the 48 inch it’s 700$ on brs
You don’t need a 48”. The 32 would be fine. The 32 would put you light 8” from edge of tank. Plenty of light. You could put acros in the bottom corner without issues

you don’t need any light for fish and rock, lights are just really for coral.

4 would be over kill for LPS I would think but you can see how you go then decide.
Yeah, four would be, but I’m thinking I eventually want some SPS as well

Oh, wow. I didn’t even know that.. that’s 150$ less

Every time someone ask for light suggestions for long smaller thank (less than 30 gallon per foot), I always recommend Orphrek OR3 led bar. It's color rendering is awesome. See how much BRS recommend about Reefbrite XHO? This is as good if not better, and a lot cheaper. Only downside is not controllable. So really just T5 style, on/off. Start with two will get you a long way. And to upgrade you just add more. Or if you decided to get onto high end light like Radion down the road, you can continue to use these as coverage supplement.

yeah you could do that, or sell them and get two radions ;)
Very true!!! Honestly i might do that, but we sell AI primes at our store so that means I would get a discount... ha! Then I could sell them for radions

Nice!! Honestly, I’m liking the thought of the primes, cheap initially. (For saltwater lights) haha!
