You really cant tell what they are from the picture he has posted. For the money he was asking you would think he would have better visual. Either way it doesnt seem like its an issue at this point, water under the bridge I would say?

He might be a good guy, I am not saying that he is not. We all make bad judgements and its not that big of a deal. Honestly, I have never posted anything like this on a forum, I am sure you can confirm that with several people. Generally, I try to stay away from this sort of thing but I suppose I could not let this one pass by.
I started getting messages through eBay how this guy was selling fake polyps and using my name to do so. The person could sell orange polyps and call them Purple Hornets all day long and I could careless. I would give it a little laugh and be on my way. But, using my name to confirm lineage and copying phrases from my auction is just wrong, no matter how you look at it.
Again, the person did correct the issue and I was good with that. I am not trying to drag him through the mud. You stated that I should explain and I only supplied the truth and how I fell about the issue.

just trying to be the devils advocate. i would imagine your name is thrown around quite a bit.

I am sure he is a good guy, but he made a mistake using someone else as a reference without permission. You can actually see that this was probably all very innocent, but not thought through.

Hello all. Just wanted to say that it was my auction that started all this trouble. I'm honestly not out to scam anyone or anything. I was merely stating the lineage I had been told.

To Gary and other Reef Pets members, I'm sorry for using your name in the description. I honestly wasnt looking to cause any trouble. I was told that the Purple Hornets originated from Jeff Trout. I looked him up and this is what I came accross before buying them:

As you can see, he stated that he contacted Reef Pets and they said that "The person (reef-pets)on ebay that claims to be the founder the famous PURPLE HORNETS says that mine look like the real ones.And they say that the ones that everyone is claiming to be hornet are a type of zoa called a lemon drop?"

As far as the crappy pictures... I know... my camera is terrible, and his has a crappy lense, but it's all I've got. I've been trying to look around for a camera to borrow, but no one seems to have any.

Once again, in all honesty, I'm sorry for this mishap, I was merely stating what I was told.

I dont really see where I talked so much about Reef Pets. All I really talked about was their incredible 275$ auction (which I have to admit one heck of a sale) lol, as well as the first auction I had.

Could you clarify that statement please. Were you told that Purple Hornets in general all originated from Jeff or the batch that you have your hands on?

Ha. Thanks. Not saying anything would have been a bit sketchy. I just want to clear up that I'm truly sorry and didnt mean as much trouble as this has caused. I just have been advocating what I had heard about the origins of my zoas.
