Another Purple Hornets scammer!

The batch I had my hands on. I knew about reef pets purple hornet lineage before buying them which made me skeptical about Jeff's purple hornets at first, until I found his post in that thread I linked.

I think it would have been a LOT different if you weren't trying to sell your PH's for so much money, then banking on Gary's name to help sell them.
Regardless of what you "heard", since we all know that most of what we here isn't always the truth, especially when money is involved.

I'm sure if you had a nice picture of them, that would have cleared a lot of this up too. Which I know is hard, but since people are selling coral online, and the ONLY thing we can go by is pictures, its kind of imperative to have a decent picture.

Lol yeah I understand. I could always send Reefpets one of my polyps and have them take a look in person. I'll cut them a discount and only charge them 500$ though. ;)

But yeah, I've got to find a better camera. Are there any camera RENTING places around lol.

Thanks for clearing that up. I will be able to do a side by side in the near future to see if they are exactly the same. Of course considering they have been in two different environments for some time there could be some difference but I should be able to get an idea of if they are the same or not. I also know Jeff and have done quite a few trades with him, he is a good guy.
 
well said sikryd, i think the thing that made people here mad was number one we are all loyal to a fault when it comes to any r2r member and anything of this magnitude. Second the money kinda made people upset as we here at r2r try to bring cost down to one each other.

Way to man up thou

thats good to know. I have nothing against him, and these Purple Hornets (am i allowed to call them that yet :)) I have look great.

A side by side would be awesome. Take some pictures!! (with a better camera than mine)

I was banned the last time someone wanted to use my name for the sale of there Purple Hornets. As you can see from all of these posts my name is used extremely often for the sale of Purple Hornets. Now I can see why I get a ton of emails with people asking, are these real Purple Hornets the seller said he got them from you.
I just want to clear up something about the Purple Hornets..... My wife put the name to the polyp and just because Reef Pets named the coral does not make me an expert of this single zoanthid polyp.
People try to explain why the color of mine are diferent than theres and so on. Well, I will also let people know that my photos are true to there color an, lighting yada yada yada... There are two well respected MODS on Reef2Reef that have the true Purple Hornets and the colors on there polyps are the same as mine and they have different lighting than I do.
I have only sold about 15 polyps of Purple Hornets. So if someone has 20 polyps for sale then they most likely did not come from me.

Again, I was not trying to drag you through the mud. You will see that my issue was with you using my name to sell your product and using my words for the sale of your product without ever confirming your statements.
Lineage is very important when it comes to purchasing a collectors coral.....

As far as the crappy pictures... I know... my camera is terrible, and his has a crappy lense, but it's all I've got. I've been trying to look around for a camera to borrow, but no one seems to have any.

It didn't bother me a bit to be honest.

The only thing I wish is my PH's were 7 polyps and someone was offering me over $600 for them!
They would be flying in nice little styro box to their new home right now..... ;)
 
Gary I will need to have a polyp from you as well to confirm....

Hey Gary, I cant speak for Jeff but he has never represented that he got the Hornets from you. He is a member of our local club and a trader just like the rest of us. I am not getting my frag from him directly but from another member of our club that got them from him (to my knowledge). But to be clear, in my circle, he has never once claimed them to be from reef pets.
 
Since we're on the subject -

Yeah I fully understand. If you do indeed talk to Jeff, can you please not drag me into it (or at least use my name). I'm upset enough as it is with what has already gone on.

As far as all the emails and ID confirmations because of naming the coral... was it worth it :wink:

So REV as we speak im stealing all your pictures, editing out ur name and posting them all on ebay for starting bids of 12,000 dollars yup that was typed right 12000 dollars and i bet i get a buyer :):)
