These guys seem to be getting worse.. They all have a white film over their skin, one is worse then the others and even has a couple spots where the skin is peeling (this one I've also seen yawning quite a bit)
No interest in food now although they did seem to get excited when food hit the water this morning just didn't touch any of it.
They have been in therapudic copper for about 3 days now. They had the second dose of prazi 3 days ago and I've been treating with metro and kanaplex every other day.
The white filmyness doesn't show up to well in photos except on the one that looks the worse but they all have it

I’m wondering if this could be the start of brook and the lower dose of metro has been keeping it scaled back.

@4FordFamily

How long have you been treating with metro? Are you sure nothing is removing it from the water like carbon or poly in a HOB filter?

That looks like uronema on the side of the anthias.

Are you feeding metro or general cure (with focus to bind it) in good to treat internal uronema?

@HotRocks
Today is day 10 of metro. I only have a sponge in the hob no carbon or anything else.
I didn't think it looked like uronema personally cause I've dealt with that in chromis but I'm no expert.
I tried early on to get them to eat food soaked with metro but they weren't too interested in it. They were eating flake food but not much else.

That really looks like uronema to me but it could also just be an infection. If so I’d finish treatment and start the fish in NFG for 14 days once out of copper.

You CAN do them at the same time but it’s really really hard on your biofilter you’ll go through a bottle of biospira every other day. If an emergency you can do this but I advise against it.

But uronema must also be treated internally, if it is uronema, typically.

I'll keep trying to get them eating metro soaked food but right now they don't seem too interested in food.
Where can I get NFG?

If this is an infection do I need to get them out of copper to treat it or will the kanaplex be able to keep it managed until copper treatment is over (another 10 days)

Do you have Furan-2? I would add that to the kanaplex + metro. And give them all a 90-minute bath in acriflavine as well.

It could be a bacterial infection taking advantage of your copper...

I do not have furan-2
I can do the acriflavin bath tho

Coming back to this tread for some more advice..
The fish are eating better today and the skin issue seems to be clearing up a bit but one of them still has pretty rough looking skin.
That same fish with rough skin now has a growth on its bottom fin and also seeing some odd behavior when it tries to eat.. It stretches/twitches its mouth alot like a yawn only faster. This happens with every bite kinda like it's mouth isn't working properly.

Noticed one other yawn today and a flash as well.

They've been in therapudic copper for 7 days now and had the last dose of metro today.

All in all I think things are looking better but I'm still worried about that one fish (pictured)

I was told 10 days in copper was enough to eliminate ich so I plan to transfer them to a new tank at the 10 day mark and then start treating them with NFG

Anything else I should be doing? Any ideas whats going on with the one fish?

14 days in copper then transfer to a sterile tank.
