Lanathum chloride will be your easiest "add this to remove this amount of phosphate" answer. Using that and nopox it's laughable how easy phosphate management is.

Thank you for your help. Is there a gfo in a larger particle that does not require tumbling that would be able to be used in a reactor to remove phosphates? And is there a way to use a certain ratio to control how much phosphate you remove as to not strip the tank complete?

Yes you can try LowerPhos which has a larger particle size and does not stick together, its also lighter so fluidises easily. Its on ebay or search on facebook for its page to read about it. I've used it for years, cheap and works. Mine is stable at 0.02.
