I'm so freaking ignorant in this area.... are there stores that are cabinet stores?

If I bring in a door and say "help me find or develop a more contemporary door"

...are they going to see $$$ signs and want me to buy like $400 doors? ($100 a piece)

There are a few cabinet places in my small town. It’s a big money business but there’s all different levels of quality. If I were you I’d hire a carpenter. Or maybe see if you have any friends that can trade services with you. Woodworking is a major skill but it’s pretty popular

So what happened to the doors anyway?

Hahaha... like I have friends

Are you looking to DIY? What is your skill level and tools look like?

Those appear to be simple overmount cabinet doors. No one here could tell you if they are standard because we don't have the dimensions. Replacing the existing hinges with blue motion over mount soft close hinges will be 10 bucks per door and VERY worth it. You can buy cheap hinges at Home Depot for $2 a set. Don't.

Do you have a table saw/ circular saw with rail? Router table? Orbital sander?

I'm a cabinet maker/ furniture maker.

Happy to help, but need to know what you're working with.

When you say more contemporary, Are you thinking shaker style doors?

Ooo just jack it up and put one of those aluminum stands in there

The skeleton of my stand is rock solid (no issues) but my doors on the front are severely rusted, warped and OUTDATED.

Any ideas of cabinet doors on this 6ft 180g stand to make it look more contemporary?

Are the doors I have custom sized? Standard sized?

I'm completely ignorant on where to start to shop for new contemporary doors.

Please help....

.
Go to lowes or home depot with your measurements. I'd bet they're not standard but they will order anything you want. A local cabinate shop might cost more but be quicker. If you lived near me I'd just make you a new one. Lol. You might get a carpenter to come give you a price on fixing it up in place. Sorry about so many options. I would start at lowes first just because of selection.

Is there a book of door styles to choose from? I'm so ignorant...

Yes. It'll help you find ideas. All your doors look like they could be repaired but it may be cheaper to replace the doors yourself. Have fun shopping. Take a picture of your stand with you.

might show the cabinet guy your light setup, if your getting new doors frame off the top with matching doors covering the top

might check your local high school wood shop teacher, some kids might be looking for projects like building some doors if you buy them the supplies. its not hard to do if you have access to the right tools
