Most routers will default to an internal IP scheme of 192.168.1.x. Your router is probably 192.168.1.1, unless you changed it. Your computer is probably like 192.68.1.100, or some where around there. I think my router defaulted to a DHCP scope that started at .100. The subnet mask you'll need is 255.255.255.0, and the gateway would be the routers address, so 192.168.1.1.
