Any help for green wall hammer coral?

This is how mine looks right now, I can see the yellow in it.. However, the tentacles still haven't opened up. They just barely will when I feed them reef roids. I just got a bottle of polyp booster from poly lab that is supposed to really help them open up for feeding. I hope it works! Lol

It looks like this is starting to lose some heads. Someone on reef2reef who saves nps posted that you should take them out of the tank and put them in a container with tank water and the coral food for some time every day until they are healthy and eating. Sorry I do not know the link for the whole process.

3or 4 days now it opens twoce a day when i feed and it ia wide open. Love the color it gives me.

Wow, that's great! I love the color too. If only they would stay open. Hopefully mine will open soon too lol. It appears to be doing better than it was

Your alk is too high for lps, IME.

I'm about to do a water change and some maintenance. What alkalinity did your LPS seem to like best?

Get your NO3 down to 5ppm Ca up to 420 and Mg up to 1400
Try to raise the Mg slow 100 ppm a day.

I will look into that, thank you for the advice! Yes, the sun coral wasn't doing very well when I first got it, but it does seem to be doing better. It really didn't like the light I had it in at first. In a feeding when I blew the food on it two heads just completely deteriorated and this is the result. If the polyp booster doesn't help I will definitely give that a try! Thanks so much

Do you really think so? I will definitely do that then asap! I have put so much into my tank, and I love my fish&corals. I am about to dose the tank right now Thank you!
