Any vodka users still?

I stopped about a year ago... and no I didnt attend an AA meeting. Lol, my tank did its best with vodka ever since I have tried pellets, gfo. I guess its just my picky tank. Never tried the vinger though.

Anyone still dose?
What kind?
How long?
Happy?

Thinking about taking it back up since I had such great luck. And always hung out around the po4 Zero mark.

I don't see many vodka threads or tanks anymore. It was the miracle for sps tanks a couple years ago. People were swearing you couldn't grow sps without dosing vodka.

I'm also curious to see who is still dosing it.

I still dose vodka. 22mls a day. Been dosing for 2 years now. The kind I use is just the el cheapo vodka from walmart.

Awesome, I knew there was some people left. Do you dose manually? I just really enjoyed how clean my tank always looked.

Still dosing vodka and MB7 about 15mls per day. Been doing it for 2-3 years. Works great.

I switched to vinegar but still dosing 70ml manually per day. Only reason I switched is cause I almost always have two small children with me and always felt weird walking out of the store with them and a jug of vodka. Plus I use vinegar for other things around the tank and house.

I did for awhile then stopped. Just got lazy manually doing it everyday but I just started back up again. My tanked looked great the whole time I was doing it.

I add 4 mL of vodka vinegar mixture a day...I noticed a little bit of cyano after starting but nothing severe. I add it manually, I have a dosing pump for it but haven't set it up...I just add 2 mL at each feeding.

I just started two weeks ago, im about to 1.5ml a day on a 65 gallon total system. Continuing to get some red algae on the sand its not in slime sheets, but that is what the MB7 is for. Probably going to start vodkaand MB7 M-T-W and then MB7 alone TH-F-S-SU until the cyano is gone or fine and daily combo of both to work perfectly once its gone.

My nitrates went from1 15-20 to less than 5 in the two weeks and my duncan split from one head to 4(hasnt made a new head in two months) while my sps is finally getting new little tips branching off. Im already a firm believer in the dosing as long as its consistent and this algae goes away. My tank is on it way to a full SPS system as I just set up a custom AIO for zoas and softy corals thats almost cycled

Just started today 0.45 via Hannah... time to get back to zero. After trying all the other methods I have decided this is the best method for my tank. Cant wait to get the dosing pump dialed in once I hit zero.

Been dosing vodka for 2.5 weeks now. I have been in the hobby for about years and never tried it before. I notice the tank looks much clearer after a few days. My sps have taken off since I started dosing the vodka; I swear by it now since I have had this much success. I have a 90 and I am up to 1.8 ml's a day now
