I have a thread on the hydros forum for this issue. I have 4 perfectly good working Tunze pumps, I bought a control4, 0-10V quad cable, and 2 Tunze adapter cables back in March. I finally hooked it up, connected 2 pumps it was so easy every thing worked great. Ordered another two adapter cables for my other two pumps and they don’t work unless I go into the app and put them to the override off position. Did a bunch of trouble shooting and testing and concluded it must be the cables. I got two new cable from Hydros on Saturday. Yesterday when I went to replace the two cables I have that don’t seem to be working, I noticed that they are about twice as long as the cables I have that do work. Upon opening one of the replacement cables I just received I noted that it too is longer than the working cables. I hooked this new replacement cable to my X4, set up a 0-10V output pump profile and it just doesn’t work, exactly the same as the other two cables I already have that DON’T work. The pumps only function in the override off position. I tried all different combinations I could think of in the settings, I tried calibrating the Tunze controller. The pumps work fine without the hydros, they work as expected with the two shorter cables as well. Is it possible that these longer cables are from a newer shipment/batch and they are wired incorrectly? I find it hard to believe that I have 6 adapter cables 2 are shorter than the rest and work and 4 long ones don’t work and it’s something I’m doing incorrectly. I should note they were all purchased in three separate orders. Any help would be appreciated.

Following, as I’m going to use two 6040’s with the X4 soon. Hopefully there’s a solution? I’m guessing you checked the new cables with the working pumps on their own to make sure they’re the issue? Hopefully it’s not a voltage issue with having 4 pumps instead of 2?

Nope, I was checking only with one pump and cable at a time

I am having a similar issue. I have three Tunze 6095s and can only get two to run at once on a quad 0-10v cable. Coralvue has already shipped me a replacement Tunze adapter, but no luck. I'm thinking of trying a different quad cable, but doubt it will solve the problem.

What voltage are you running your pumps at?

0-6.5v

The original 4 I purchased(maybe 2-3 months ago) are the shorter ones. The 2 replacements Coralvue sent me are quite a bit longer.

I don't think it's a Tunze adapter issue like I originally suspected. Doubt it's the 0-10v quad, but I'll likely reach out and ask for a replacement to rule it out.

You can pull the sheath back on the Tunze ones and check the solders. No problems that I could find.

Also my pumps will turn on if I open the tile in the app and select off. The pump will run until I select min, auto, or max then it shuts off. I have done this with 4 pumps that otherwise work just fine with 2 of the cables I have using any of the outputs on the quad cable. It makes no sense that the pump would run if I select off.

The two cables that are running two 6095s right now look like this.

I was not able to get any of the cables with solders on the right to work when swapping. But I also have cables with left solders that aren't working either.

You might have adapters for a different model of pump from the one you need. They could have got mixed up. If it is the same pump then the connections should be the same. The only way to be sure would be to check it with an ohm meter to make sure the same pin on the 3.5mm connector is connected to the same pin on the connector on the other end of the cable.

I have an open ticket with Coralvue. I linked them to this thread.

If I wasn't already deep into some 4th of July beers, I'd investigate more into my stash of cables.

:)

It is best to wait for a reply from them anyway. I am guessing the ones you have that do not work are longer then the ones that work.

You are correct for me anyway. I have a total of 6 cables. The two shorter ones work, the other four longer ones don’t.
