Anyone dose live phyto?

Hey I usually use the live Phyto by reef nutrition. Most LFS should have them refrigerated. I keep mine in the fridge and dose around 3-4 squeezes in the sump daily for copepod reproduction and also coral food.
I have been surprised for a loooooong while that there isn’t already a 20 page thread on this already ….
there are a few shorter ones …

I also use phyto feast live. I go through one of the smallest size bottles a month in my 20g tank and have a monthly subscription, but I worked up to that amount slowly by starting with a small dose and slowly increasing to get my system used to it. I just broadcast some in front of the return nozzle in the morning and some in the evening — my feather dusters and porcelain crabs LOVE it.

I’ve started to have issues with all my chalice starting to die after daily phyto dosing. I’m trying to figure out why but still not sure. I did notice a Nutrient decrease over about a two week period for the first two weeks of the dosing from about 30 nitrates to 15 and .28 phophates to about .15 which from the research I’ve done still puts me in the normal range for nutrients even tho over 20 chalice have dies from outside ridge to the inside over past few weeks. Today I finally have decided to stop phyto dosing took so long because I just could not believe it could be that. But it’s only thing I have changed. Was dosing 120ml of my own cultured phyto from Poseidon’s reef. Just turned down to 5 ml a day just to keep fluid in lines moving. Let’s see how it goes.

i dose daily and culture my own phyto. I keep it in the fridge and shake it up daily before dosing.

I dose roughly3ml per gallon daily to my 80g system. Best stuff you could ever out in your tank.
I buy mine from a very reputable seller on here. Best stuff I've ever put in my tank.

@homer1475 -- Wow, 3ml/gallon? I've been dosing 30 ml/day on a 120. Is that pointless? (Honest question). I don't know how I'd afford 360 ml every day. I would definitely have to culture my own.

Dosing this much has not caused you any issues. I dose 120ml into 250 gallons daily and after 3-4 weeks nitrates and phophates dropped in half and almost all my chalice started to and did die

I dose every night when SPS polyps are out the most. System is 150 display. I dose a combo of 3 types Iso Nano and Tet every night for about 8 oz or about 300 ml . I grow my own.

I was dosing daily and ended up bottoming out on nutrients. The tank from a distance looked nice and clean since it kept algae and cyano at bay but growth on my corals were almost non existent. Its been about a month since I have dosed phyto and now the tank is thriving with an explosion of growth and color.

David invoices me automatically every month and I can expect the bottle to show up the following week like clockwork.
I just dump some in every other night. 32oz lasts me roughly a month in my 75g
