There are a couple vendors that make it super worth it (I won’t name names because I’m selfish) but most of them are a waste.

I once spent 2 hours searching for one of your secret links. Hope you lie awake tonight feeling bad for me.I’ve always been kind of vocally obstinate about these things to a fault I’m sure. But the frequency of them seems more like a greed driven cash grab than any sort of customer minded, honest discount. clearly they rule the roost these days. So we are the minority for sure. Lol. I have always felt that sales that start with pricing really high and drop as they go are kind of a slap in the face to anyone who did pay the higher price early on. I mean I feel guilty if an order comes in the day before I have a sale.

Dang really? Well that’s no fun at all. Pm incoming!!!It was. I found the shirt but not whatever I was looking for. Ran out of gas lol.
What’s this “secret link” you speak of?? I mean I’ve heard of sneaky links, but secret??I once spent 2 hours searching for one of your secret links. Hope you lie awake tonight feeling bad for me.
My issue is the vendors that think because they come up in googles top 5 links when someone searches online coral vendors they have an obligation to over inflate their regular prices to make themselves seem more “elite.” I like to send my lfs manager links to items like a 4 polyp frag of captain jerk palys for $75 and tell him they are doing something wrong since they sell cpt jerks for $10 for 10-15 polyp frags!! All in jest of course. I feel vendors like this are using predatory methods to dupe new comers into thinking they are getting unique corals when in reality most veteran reefers wouldn’t let such weeds near our tanks. You have to go in knowing what you want and at what price or you can end up getting poor deals.
You also need to go in for multiple corals to offset the shipping.
I always start with a $5 coral which immediately brings down your average cost.
Last live sale I got 8 corals for an average price of $20, including some pretty unique ones.
I always sit through a vendors live sale once without buying anything to get a feel for it and see if there are actual good deals.
Some vendors you can get a $500 coral for $5 but all the others are on “sale” for double what other vendors are offering.
Other vendors only give out $40 corals for $5, but you’ll get a ton of $40-80 corals for $20-$40.
If you follow Battlecorals, on occasion, he will speak of a secret link on his site and if you find it, you can get a heavy discount, a freebie, etc. Or just order a Battlebox and pretend you found the link. Happy either way. What’s this “secret link” you speak of?? I mean I’ve heard of sneaky links, but secret??
Captain jerk palys!!!! That is solid Au! This wins today for me.My issue is the vendors that think because they come up in googles top 5 links when someone searches online coral vendors they have an obligation to over inflate their regular prices to make themselves seem more “elite.” I like to send my lfs manager links to items like a 4 polyp frag of captain jerk palys for $75 and tell him they are doing something wrong since they sell cpt jerks for $10 for 10-15 polyp frags!! Agree. I just did one this weekend, and came away with 10 corals for $200, including shipping. You have to have an idea of what you are looking for and have an idea of what you can get them for elsewhere, otherwise it would be easy to pay more than you normally would because of the pressure that you may lose out on a great deal. For example, I am a Goni collector, but this particular vendor did not have the best prices on goni’s, even at their 70% off, so I didn’t buy a single one, even though some were pretty cool. But they had very good sale prices on many other types. You have to go in knowing what you want and at what price or you can end up getting poor deals.

Yes and no. If it’s an Ultra, then probably yes. Better to order more items, to offset the shipping charge.I actually just today won a free rock flower anemone from Living Reef Orlando, the shipping is 25 dollars, worth it or not?
I asked for a picture of it so we will see.Yes and no. If it’s an Ultra, then probably yes. Better to order more items, to offset the shipping charge.
CC sells GMK zoas for $1200 per polyp…most I’ve ever paid was $100 for a 3 polyp frag. Over priced in my book as with 95% of everything on their site! I just don’t understand it.Cherry corals is 30 mins away. Live sale and pick up. Big savings and cool peices
