The picture I think says it all but for the longets time I thought asterina starfish were these cool CUC that just ate algae. Then they suddenly turned. Took me a while to figure out why my zoas were dissapearing. Anyone else got a fish, invert, or something else that went from cool to awful menace?

My conch. Shell and gravel encrusted conch Doo. I already had 3 100lbs dogs to pick up after daily.
I had no idea they did that?! Mine just stares at me from the sand.

I'm pretty sure that's what is going on. They stop showing up when he takes a three day nap. As soon as he wakes up, gravel encrusted doo. It's only a 25 gallon tank. I'm gonna run out of gravel one day.

I love my gighting conch. No doo doo isues but maybe because I have a bunch of nassarius too.
I've been kicking around the idea of a few blue leg hermits. I'm still early in on the tank. I get single strands of GHA that grow inches long out of them.

I was gonna post a picture of one last night titled, "when your conchs poop comes with a handle"

Since this appears to be an anomaly, I may do it when I get home from work in the morning.

Here are two. They weren't the focus of the photo so I had to zoom in a bit.

Pencil urchins. They bulldoze my corals off. It’s very difficult to remove them because they latch on the rockwork HARD.

Urchins.....
Long spine grew up and eat encrusted corals.
Multicolors grew up and scratched the glass...
Don't have that but they rip off so many corals, pick up frags, and kidnap snails. Great algae eaters but somedays...

My Orange Digitata. Absolute menace weed, literally growing on top of other corals and killing them.
That sure is true. I got so excited about my first corals growing and then of course they start growing too much.

Oh for reefing? Emerald crabs. Never had one eat bubble algae but they've all eaten zoas.
And not easy to catch either!
My Electric Indigo dottyback! Huge pain in the butt. Spits sand all over corals constantly. Harasses my orange spot goby and steals his cave.
Its a shame. That beauty comes with such an attitude.

Corraline algae. Couldn’t wait to get it and now it’s become a chore to clear off the glass and corners of the glass.

Guess the tank is healthy and the rockwork looks epic. But I’m terms of a maintenance standpoint it’s become a bit of a nuisance!

Yep... mine doesn't even grow on the rocks. Coats my glass like crazy and is such a pain to scrape off especially on the back pane.

Neon green sinularia. Looked great at the store. Looks great in the tank. Now it’s just taking up so much real estate that I’m tempted to set up a small softie tank and make it the centerpiece.
