Anyone else hate something they once thought was cool?

Several years ago I bought Live Rock at LFS. Rock was magnificent, but I chose particular piece, because I noticed beautiful, greenish , small anemone growing there. 6-8 years later my tank look like this:
Majano.jpg

This "beautiful" anemone spread all over my other corals, creating havoc and killing all sessile creatures.
I had to break the tank down and start from scratch.
It was Majano anemone.

Oh, that's my luck. "Look at these big pods all over the base of this here torch!!" Get it home and have to learn about red planaria.

Urchins.....
Long spine grew up and eat encrusted corals.
Multicolors grew up and scratched the glass...
Oh yeah... my long spine urchin is now in my sump. I feed him algae sinking pellets every few days because I feel bad.

I thought my SPS were STNing until one morning I looked at my tank and my cali tort looked like the side had been cleaved off. It's finally healed up now but I'm still bitter about the set back. lol

Pencil urchins. They bulldoze my corals off. It’s very difficult to remove them because they latch on the rockwork HARD.
Mine was cool until one night it ate an Acro.

For me it's the minimalist aquascape. I thought it was cool when I first started, but now I like the old school look. To me it's timeless

Old school?

GSP, had a tank where I had it grow all on the back glass, then that crap started popping up everywhere, such a pain to clean off rocks, it overtakes everything.

Funny im the opposite. I loved the full rock wall for many years until I setup my last 120 minimalist style.
Old 120.

It was my first coral and I didn’t have the guts to toss it so it’s in my not FOWLR now. I’m sure I will hate it at some point though.

My Ex !!!!!

Jokes aside- Paly coral

Bubble tip anemones. I bought one the size of a quarter for 20 bucks and in the last 8 months it split which then turned into 12. They have ruined my green slimer, mushrooms, gsp, Montis and now a meat coral because they love to go for nightly strolls before walking back to their original spots.

I will never buy an anemone ever again

Indian triggerfish. Actually ordered a Hawaiian black triggerfish, and received the wrong fish. Still a really cool fish, except it like to dig giant pits under rock work and likes to relocate anything that can move. Huge drama queen too, splashes a ton when it's time for food. And obviously, despite being a planktonivorous trigger, still hinders having a clean up crew.
