Completely agree.. Except the one area I'm finding difficulty (which is why I'm trying to steer clear from large fb groups) is when you're having the reasonable discussion with a "newbie" that's having troubles.. That's legitimately all ears open.. And in the middle of the discussion know it all experts with 20 tangs in a 75 has to jump in and rebuke me. Just sayin.. New guy, has an ich issue.. 3 tangs in a 125... Me explaining stress as one of many factors he's up against. It really does make you wanna pound your head when a dude says "no way man, I have 20 in my 75 right now.. So that has nothing to do with it"..
Mr 20 in a 75... He doesn't concern me. The guy that was looking for good, honest advice. He does.. Because I was him at one time and I took advice from mr 20 in a 75 at one time as well.

I think you have to accept the simple fact that you will never convince every person that fish "X" needs a tank that is "Y" big. All we can do is make a recommendation, state the reasoning behind that recommendation and provide links to threads/posts/articles to support the recommendation.
The hope is they will continue their research and make an informed decision. But as we all know, many make the decision to "do it anyway", and there isn't much that can be done. In my opinion, there is no point in losing ones cool over it.
Tell them what you're going to tell them, tell them, then tell them what you told them. The rest is up to them.
