Anyone know what this is? It is on the frag plugs and in some isolated tiny spots on my LR. It appears to be an algae of some kind. Not red slime though. Any help would be great!

It does not come off easily. I've attempted to blow it off with a turkey baster and rub it off w my fingers. No dice. And it does have a slippery feel to it.

If it is lobophora I had a Frag tank full of it. Literally took over the whole tank. But it never did kill a single coral. Only ever took over hard surfaces, Frag plugs, tank walls, rocks, Frag racks... I read somewhere that it can thrive in lower calcium environments. At that time my was just below 380, I was having a hard time keeping my Ca levels up for a little bit. I ended up getting my levels up around 450-460 and it has slowly started to recede. It’s not all gone but it has drastically receded. I also added a bunch of copepods, a few emeralds, and an urchin. I think the emerald has been the noticeable difference on the rocks. I pulled it of the Frag plugs with tweezers and a brush. Doesn’t come off easily. And a scrapper for the tank walls. The urchin helps on the tank walls as well.
