If it is lobophora I had a Frag tank full of it. Literally took over the whole tank. But it never did kill a single coral. Only ever took over hard surfaces, Frag plugs, tank walls, rocks, Frag racks... I read somewhere that it can thrive in lower calcium environments. At that time my was just below 380, I was having a hard time keeping my Ca levels up for a little bit. I ended up getting my levels up around 450-460 and it has slowly started to recede. It’s not all gone but it has drastically receded. I also added a bunch of copepods, a few emeralds, and an urchin. I think the emerald has been the noticeable difference on the rocks. I pulled it of the Frag plugs with tweezers and a brush. Doesn’t come off easily. And a scrapper for the tank walls. The urchin helps on the tank walls as well.
