Anyone running Freshwater?

I keep a 10 gallon with a couple guppies and a boatload of cherry shrimp. I had a bazillion snails so I got an assassin snail. It looks like a whelk, I'm sure it's a freshwater version. He wasn't getting the job done so I got a zebra loach. Loach put quite a dent in the snail population. I have an Amazon sword that must be six years old and it is getting ragged. Looked great for a few years.

I've always wanted a poison dart tank.

I kept mudskippers for awhile. Crazy goofy looking and might be good for the brackish shorline tank.

The look on people's faces when your fish starts climbing the tree branches you have in your tank is worth the price of admission for skips.

Hey guys, so I got a small freshwater tank set-up and I will want a bigger one I'm sure. My question, with Reef tanks we have all these options for testing, but freshwater seems like ApI, maybe it's not a big deal for such quality in fresh, but I want a really nice planted tank.

Still a charm to freshwater even with a reef setup. I would not worry as much about testing in freshwater once its cycled I personally only test when setting up other than ph. Key to a really nice planted tank imo is substrate it has to be porous and have a large enough particle size to resist compaction.
