Anyone running ozone????

while vodka dosing, and the sebsequent bacterial growth, lowers phosphates and nitrate, which are directly unaffected by ozone.

Here I thought you knew what you were getting into. LoL. I am going to give the bio pellets one more try and if they dont work then I may go to vodka and maybe back to ozone. I did really love how clear the water was with the ozone that was awesome.

Avast makes a great ozone reactor for a great price. I would do that instead of using a skimmer.

Also, no reason you can't run ozone and biopellets at the same time. As long as you're not injecting ozone into the biopellets reactor of course ;)

So I hooked it up today and I'm injecting it into the airline in my skimmer... I am lucky enough
To have a apex with a orp probe which I read is highly recommended... Anyway my orp was at 315 and holding steady even after 4 hrs of use of the ozone....what numbers am I shooting for while running this???? I'm running it on the lowest setting until I get comfortable with everything.... I mean with the tank crash and everything else this was prolly to fast as it is...."waits for backlash I see you looking gparr!!" ahahahahah

Randy Holmes-Farley has a good writeup on ORP. IIRC, he basically says that, in general, you want to keep it above 300 and below 400, but it is more useful looking at the trends.
