Anyone use the Blue Life water backgrounds?

Just ordered for my 90 never used an adhesive background before but read good things about them. They look very clean. Anyone using these?

Tried that (( or something very similar )) with my 210. Ended up being a PITA, granted I am not the most patient person in the world, and it ripped in a couple of places. Torn it off, went to home depot and bought a quart of Behr exterior latex paint and called it a day. Was very happy with the results.

Yea that's what I'm worried about.. But hopefully me n the wife can get it on smoothly lol

I used very dark window tint on my 90. Worked really well.

I did a frosted background on my 85. Then back lit it.

I recently moved, and have not had time to set it back up.

Any tips on putting it on? I hear to use a lot of soapy water so you get a little move to it before it sticks..

What's the difference between this and a sheet of plain vinyl

Yup, lube it up and if you see any bubbles after the fact, put a little prick in it and use a scraper to flatten it. We had a black overflow installed and the backing was identical to "acrylic black".

Only one side but it is the same color on both sides

Krylon black spray paint. Use masking tape and paper to protect the rest of the aquarium.

I've never worked with vinyl, so I can't say.

This stuff does not rip. It went on so easy and I could move it around for a long time, before it "set". Nothing like window or car film, nor wallpaper. Much easier. There is nothing out there that compares. I'm not saying you can't get other stuff to work and I've made everything work over the years. Having used this particular one, I wouldn't use anything else again besides this brand.

Yup. Just watch the video they have online and you'll be fine. I used a metal ruler and razor blade to trim to perfect fit after it was on but still wet.

@Lionfish Lair and @Adamwheel I have a corner built in overflow if I wanted to see the back of that for maintenance purposes should I put the background on first than cut out the small peace to see the back outside of overflow?
