Anyone using Kamoer pump to drive CA reactor?

You will need a more heavy duty pump that is designed to run 24/7 dosing pumps are made to run only 10 to 15 minutes tops. The cole parmer master flex is the most popular choice

My idea here is that I'm trying to find a decent reliable honest hard-working feed pump at a fair price that won't require me to wander through the ebay aisles of forgotten toys.
Here's another thought- Pacific Sun sells the feed pump for their Calcfeeder reactor separately...

Following. I too don't want to deal with buying used pharma stuff on eBay and hoping I get the right one. I'll bet that thing is noisy though up at 100 ml/min where I run though.

Litermeter has or is about to have a pump out for it, and PacSun is releasing a pump as well.

Hmmm... don't see anything like that on their web page... yet. I had a liter meter pump in the past and it was set up to run noisily for short durations periodically. Are they still like that?

I've never used one, so I don't know how loud they are. I saw a post on RC by Sleif that he is testing one out.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. It is spectrapure's new auto-topoff setup, and you use just the pump. It runs quickly, I guess at one speed, and you control the flow rate by how often it comes on. Geo is apparently testing one with one of his reactors.

By the way, I use an almost identical top off system from Avast, and it works great.
OK, we now have 3 possible options.
I'm sure they are not as great as Masterflex, but they certainly will be easier to find and buy, and probably cheaper, and still work pretty good. Leaning towards the Spectrapure.
I think someone could run a good business buying old masterflex type pumps and selling them to reefers.

Another contender.. Rola Chem! At high setting runs almoat continuous (off 4 secs every nine minutes) but each pump only runs at a single speed. Would a typical ca reactor run at 38 or 77 gallons per day?

OK, I guess there are more pumps in this range than I realized. I just think the masterflex pumps might be somewhat over-engineered for this application.
So, Avast marine's peristaltic pump can run continuously and delivers about the right flow rate for a CA reactor. I already am using one for my ATO and it is fine and quiet. At $110, a good deal.

So basically the Masterflex pumps people are using are variable speed. The solutions I am looking at are fixed speed. So, it has to be roughly sized correctly to the tanks needs, but otherwise should be perfectly good, and adjustments to the effluent ph are made with bubble rate alone.
I think the spectrapure runs at 60 ml per minute. Probably to fast for my tanks current needs.
Rola Chem 25/53 runs at 31 ml per minute (approx 12 gallons per day)
Avast peristaltic pump runs at 23 ml per minute (approx 9 gallons per day) - looks like a fast drip not quite a steady stream
