Anyone with AI Prime 16 + Mangroves?

Thanks my friend! I’ve had them maybe a year, or alittle longer. One is rooted into the large rock, and the other i “planted” in a small pot with sand. I have the white turned way down like 6%- and they seem to be doing ok

Yes they do! I am sure they would have more growth if you amped the whites up but hey your still seeing success in my eyes. Do you think one of the two is doing better? I am wondering whether I should bury them in the sand or just connect to a rock

I currently am setting up a tank with a mounted grow light and a AI Prime 16 HD specifically for Mangroves!

Anyone with a AI Prime 16 HD and Mangroves? Wondering if I can see and potentially get emailed your preset.

I see no reason it wouldn't work, look into the light spectrums they like. Might hard to keep some corals

I have grown these two mangroves under an AI prime 16 from seed. They are about 2 years old, but I have moved twice so they were stunted. The tank is also next a south facing window.

I have thought about it, I am unsure what to do since my whole setup is based around the middle and the mangrove. I thought about getting a AI 32 or a narrow beam kessil and mounting it much higher. I get a little bit of burning on the leaves.

I use the Saxby preset on AI’s website. Looking at it though I may add some more red and green to the preset for color. https://www.aquaillumination.com/signature_series/david-saxby

Looking at it as well - that should help a lot! A simple LED grow light on amazon that is on the ceiling may help also. That is what I am doing + my AI Prime. The light I got from amazon is like $30
