Neptune just released the newest AOS update (5.05_5A19) which includes support for the Trident. I'd take this as a good sign!

  • Support for the Trident Marine Aquarium Water Analyzer
  • Support for controlled dosing of alkalinity, calcium, and/or magnesium with a Neptune Systems DŌS based on measurements obtained by a Trident
  • This AOS has updated module firmware for FMM, COR, and WAV
  • This AOS adds support for Apex Fallback for AI Prime/Prime HD/Hydra HD lights
  • The AOS changes most of the alarm messages contained in email, text, and push notifications
  • APEX Local now has the same updated buttons & icons as APEX Fusion
  • APEX Local now includes the System View recently added to APEX Fusion
  • APEX Local has many optimizations for use with mobile devices
  • APEX Local has overall performance enhancements
See https://forum.neptunesystems.com/showthread.php?26615-AOS-5-05_5A19-is-now-available! for full details.

The new version of Apex Fusion, with Trident support, was also activated today. :)

The AOS update might just be the reason for delays in the Trident hardware release. I don't think operating system software has been used as an explanation for any delays, but it certainly could have been...

Yes, I just noticed these new Task options in Fusion:

This new System view is pretty cool. It shows all your modules, and when you click they expand to show what devices/outputs/probes are attached to each:

Hopefully you can dos automatically with other dosing pumps like the brs ones.

Neptune has stated the Trident will only control the Neptune DOS.

Oh...didn't know that. Well crap that just got more expensive than I was planning.

Of course you can continue to use your BRS pumps and the Trident will record test results, but you'd need to manually adjust the dosing as needed. You only need the DOS if you want to fully automate both testing and dosing.

Why can we use the trident values as outputs? Then have those outputs control the BRS 1.1 ml pumps?
Or as a profile.

That's what I was hoping too. I have 3 BRS pumps already setup.

So technically if you want full automation...you'd need to buy 2 DOS setups plus the trident for full dosing automation. Turning into a $1,000+ upgrade.

Yeah.
Worst case, I'll write a script which checks for the levels, and then hopefully get the pumps on a simple WIFI power strip.

Well I cleared my cache signed out of fusion and so on and it says I have newest one and unless it does it automatically now
I don’t see it
Is this the newest version

Which version of apex do you have?

If it's the "new" apex, you will see the task options. If it's the "old" apex, nothing has changed other then some programming language, and an FMM update.
