I have a wifi dongle and whenever the power goes out, the apex does not reconnect to the internet. I only find out when I go online and see that I've been disconnected.

Sounds like the router is not strong enough. I had the same problem then just hard wired the Apex into the modem

Not the issue. It only connects when I unplug the apex and replug.

I have similer problem except I have to connect a hard wire to it and basically do a firmware restore.

Its a major issue and almost makes the whole thing useless.

That happens to me too... except I'm hard wired. Whenever I get disconnected from Fusion when my modem or router go on the fritz for a little bit, the only way I can reconnect to Fusion is to unplug and plug back in... really annoying!

I dont think it happens when I simply get disconnected but when I lose power.

Knock on wood my Apex has not had this issue. Sure it's not your router? Do other items automatically reconnect or just the Apex?

Thanks guys. So basically from those threads, in order that the apex should reconnect to fusion after a power outage is you need to attach it to a UPS. If thats the case, its ridiculous. An item that costs this much should not have such a basic issue.

Really, it should automatically alert you when the power is off but now it wont even reconnect?

Can you connect it to your router via ethernet to take WiFi out of the occasion for a test? Turn off at the breaker for ~30 seconds then turn power on to see if it reconnects?

I would try turning off dhcp and using a static ip address. That seems to have helped a few people who have had reconnection issues, assuming the wifi dongle isn't a contributing factor.

From your apex lcd screen, hit the center button. Select system. Next select Net Setup. You will likely see "DHCP On". Press the middle button to turn off. This will force your apex to try and connect with whatever it's current address is everytime.
Next scroll down to IP addess. You'll see a number like 192.168.0.11 (yours will be slightly different). Write this number down. That's the easy part. The next part is wholly dependant on the model of router you have. You need to log into the router and tell it to assign that ip address a static lease.
A Web search of your router model should find instructions of how to do that. If you can't find what you need to do that, or get stuck, pm me, and I'll see if I can walk you through it.
