So I just received my brand new apex jr today and during setup it says apex fusion down where you get your token! Looked through forums and still can't figure it out. I find this extremely annoying because I looked forward to coming home and setting it up after work and it's already causing me problems right out of the box! Help lol

I went through that setup and fusion still says down on display. Contacted support but it takes them about 4 hours to reply every time something they suggest doesn't work. They replied to me twice today in about 9 hours.

Their support is second to none. Just give them time, and once they get started, they won't stop until your perfect. Take this time to compile all your questions and they will work you thought everything you're questioning.

But if I had to guess, if it's right out of the box, it's a firmware issue.

I don't know if this is the same case. I had the same issue once on my apex full. I was playing with the display and some how I changed the gateway to 192.168.1.2. It should be 192.168.1.1

When your apex cannot go outside, like you go online surfing the web, the token cannot be retrieved because I think Neptune server expects the apex' s presence to issue new token.

I love the Neptune support page. They have a lot of helpful info there. Russ, RussM, has had many helpful posts up there.:)

Mine is at 192.168.1.1. I've tried everything I can think if at this point. Stamped.. Guess I'll just have to wait for support. Day 2

Those APEX support guys are pretty good. They also work around the clock if you email them.....
I almost have to step back and look at it from a different angle. Sometimes assuming can be a pain.....Assuming the hardware is good. It is the network setup issue
1. is DHCP on or off on the apex?
2. can you see the apex pages from a computer/tablet/phone (wifi) within the same subnet? at least can you ping it?
3. is there a firewall or some rule on your router that block the apex from going outside?

.....

Well I've emailed them about 7 times today in a 9 hour period got 2 replys. Basic stuff like did you plug it into the router? So I had 0 help from them today. DHCP is on. No firewall or anything

Not sure what that one meant exactly ha. I'm only semi good with computer stuff ha

I tried looking for it on the apex ap but got nothing. I don't see anything under my wifi

Is your router port forwarded? If you cannot access your apex via your home network you will not be able to obtain the token for fusion. The apex needs to be hooked up properly to do so.

Best of luck!

ok,
you know the ip of the apex, you can just open a browser on your computer or on your tablet, phone...using the same network, enter the address of the apex and hit enter. That will get you to the apex web page. I suggest a computer because that guy has to use the same router which means it has the same subnet IP as the apex. I hope you don't have a few routers with more than a simple setup like most people.
For example: your apex ip is 192.168.1.20, then enter "192.168.1.20" onto the address bar of the browser.
If that does not work, you can download the apex browse app to see if that guy can find the apex.

What OS are you using?

I don't think you need to set the port forwarding with fusion. That is the beauty of fusion. It was not simple to set the port forwarding and some of the older routers do not even have that feature. I had to buy a new router when I hooked my ip camera. Not many people understand how port forwarding works by the way.
With fusion, now any network novice user and setup remote access on the Apex :-); I wish I had read about fusion before jumping into the port forwarding thing.

Windows 8. Ya I have never heard of port forwarding I read a little on it last night and was a bit lost lol

so the apex works now? I don't know but I ask you a few questions and you miss out the important questions....I am trying to help you here :-)

No it's not. I typed the 192.168.1.1 into my address bar and it shows the devices but in the number 2 slot it shows dashes under everything but the Mac address. Not sure if that's the apex but the other 3 are my phone my hopper and my ps4.

I do have a question. When I go to command and then ipconfig/all it shows IPv 192.168.1.2(preferred)
Default gateway and DHCP 192.168.1.1
It also has an IPv6 and DHCPv6. But if I go to that site that shows your IP it says 165.254.184.153 por my public IP. Do I use the 192.168.1.2 or the 1.1?

From you are saying, your gateway is 192.168.1.1 and your windows 8 ip is 192.68.1.2. Ignore the public ip for now.
Use your display to see what is the apex IP. If there is no IP, power cycle the Apex. After getting the ip in the form of 192.168.1.X, then do step #2. Please read my steps carefully. It took me time to type them and spell check.

Also there are 2 LEDs on the side of Ethernet port of the apex, what color or light do you see? I think they are color coded. 1 is for link good and 1 is for connection. .. I forget but Russ can help here :-)
