I'll just go out and say it. This is pretty darn frustrating for an $800 peice of plastic.

I have the blue light on my base unit.

I am on the Apex's network.

I go to apex.local and I get to an Apex screen that says timeout or some junk.

Help please before it ends up under someone's tire.

Have you tried a direct ethernet connection from your router into apex?

Have you tried going into your routers homepage and finding its IP address and typing that into your browser. I have always had more success typing in the IP address instead of apex.local

K, first things first, have you gone onto the Neptune website and follow their how to set up a apex instructions, sorry I have to ask. 2nd, are you using a apple or android phone to set up. Apple is so much easier as Neptune seems to love Apple products. If you are using an android you have to download an app to capture the IP address of the apex head unit.

There is a solution - contact Neptune tech support. They will walk you through it - or replace the unit. Have you tried resetting the unit by holding something in the 'reset' area on the back for 30 seconds - and starting over?

If the apex is correctly set up - it should be orange. Blue is not connected. Thats why you cant see it. Blue means its in wifi setup mode

I've gone on my laptop and selected it, yes.

Right - Just because he watched the video doesnt mean he understood it. And - if he watched the video and it didnt work - the next step is contacting tech support. They can get into the Apex and figure out whats going on. He is also not using a cell phone - he's using his laptop.

I also posted a link in my post that describes what people did with this problem from another site.

When you selected a wifi network did the network apex setup ###, the ### is the serial number of your unit, come up, because if it didn't then you may have a bad wifi chip on the unit.

If that's the case then you will need to call apex tech support.
