I personally don't run defers within the TEMP controls. I actually went back to the manual to read. Your programing seems correct according to what I read.

Reading that I did see something that is wrong in my coding, I need to switch around the defer on and off

No, came down with an awful bug plus hubby had heart surgery yesterday. Hoping one 200 watt heater will keep tank going because I just can't deal with it now.
