Apex WiFi

Maybe this is a dumb question but did you set up the WiFi extender first? I don't have the same model you purchased but I first had to plug it in near the wireless router and run a setup wizard on my laptop to name it and connect it to the router with the security and password. Once it was setup and named I could move it to the room with the Apex and connect it. The other thing I had to do a time or two is check the Apex Display to see if it has Fusion communication. I don't remember if I had to restart it or relink the Apex but it'll say No Comm if it's not connected to Fusion in the Net Setup menu.

Yes I set it up right next to the router on WiFi the moves it connected it via an Ethernet cord. Watched one video that said to change IP address to the router and the gateway as well one thing I saw that I don’t think I did is make sure the apex firmware is updated so when I get off shift and back home I’ll be doing that. Any other help though is greatly appreciated. I spent 12 hours with it even talked to technical support with NETGEAR and that got me no where. I am not the smartest individual with computers but it shouldn’t be that dang hard.

I'd check out the Apex Display and see what it says in your net setup menu and if you haven't tried restarting the apex from that same menu after you hook it up I would try that. I have had to go and restart my apex a few times after a power outage. It seems like it takes the internet a bit to come back up and the apex restarts before the Internet is ready and can't connect to fusion but a restart of my Apex often allows it to connect again.
