Apitasia killers

Murfman, I applied for a patent on that device 6 months ago. It will be finalized in a few days.
I have almost $10,000.00 invested in the patent so far. It will be commercially produced very soon.
This will be my second aquarium related patent and I am working on the third but that will not be until a year or two.

copperband for me. Not only did it clear out the aptasia in about 2 weeks it eats frozen! :)

Where are you selling them Paul B if you can tell us? (and hi again)

Thanks

I was just loaned one of paul b's tasers from a local reefer, it works pretty good. Some of my aiptasia were a little resistent and needed to be zapped several times. It can be hard to get at all the aiptasia, i have a breakout in my tank with several hundred of these dang things and it could take me a year to zap them all...some are a little too hard to reach/corals are in the way so i think it in combo with a filefish/nudi/pepp/cbb whichever you chose would really make a diff, Ill probably go with the filefish as ive seen one in an lfs just erradicate their aiptasia.

Paul makes a very nice product though, and its kinda fun to see them boiling. sounds evil now that i write that out.

You can PM me for information.

Why wouldn't you go with an Aiptasia eating fish? Like CBB or Raccoon Butterflyfish?

I taught my Raccoon how to eat from chopsticks. He will eat anything that is attached to them. :feel_good:

aptaisia x hasnt worked for me......just made them multiply....im going to get some nudis

When you use Aiptasia X or the Kalkwasser/Limewater method you will need to turn off all your powerheads and siphon out the remains.
If you do not vacuum out the remains, the spores will spread throughout your tank.

I personally use the Peppermint Shrimps, you rarely see them eat the aiptasia, but at night they'll wander all over your tank in search of aiptasia.

Took 5 of them to clean out my 220g in less than a month. I did have really large aiptasia, I mean they were the size of half your fists almost!
