I bought 3 of them. They had different ones. I bought the “high flow nudis” for a 40 gallon with about 20 aiptasia that I could see.

Thank you. I have a 30 gallon that is being overrun by them but wasn't sure how many I should buy for my tank size.

How long since adding the Berghia. Mine vanished for a couple of months and i thought the same thing ( that they had died some how) then all the aptasia started disappearing. Haven’t seen the Berghia or any apatasia since.

My vote is peppermint shrimp. I bought mine from algae barn specifically to eat some aptasia I saw. 1 week later all gone and it hasn’t bothered any corals.

I have never needed anything more than a syringe and boiling water, even with a very heavily infested tank. It can take several weeks, but persistence will win the day. Cook them right where they sit. About 10ml per does the trick.

One thing I WOULD NOT DO is to scrape them off in-tank. Even a tiny fragment can easily grow into a whole new specimen! If you can remove the rocks, a few drops of hydrogen peroxide directly on it will also work, but as soon as you take the rock out of the tank they shrink up and are very difficult to find.

I try to avoid chemicals in my tank, and the problem with many of their natural predators is that once the problem is taken care of they either move on to other things (that you don't want them to eat) or just starve and die.

I had a GREAT experience with a filefish. It took him about week to decide to go for it, but then in a few days he ate every single Aptasia in my 300 gallon. I have about 60 corals in there, SPS, LPS, meat, zoas...AS far as I can tell, he's never touched one. Plus, he's a cool looking fish, hovers like a seahorse. It was hard for me to reach a lot of my Aptasia, but not for him! I am a BIG filefish fan. I tried the manual stuff (aptasia X, etc.) and there is no comparison.

Sorry for your troubles. I had excellent results with nudis from saltyunderground.com. They eliminated all aiptasia within 2 months. My best advice here would be...WATCH YOUR WRASSE!

Thanks for the advice, great play on words. I am going to see how the nudis do, I get 4 of them from salty underground. My wife loves my wrasse so might be tough to trade or get rid off!

I did not notice if the nudis from salty underground were high flow or not. I have a moderate flow in the tank and should probably get a wave maker to turn the flow down at night. My other option is to turn the power heads off a night or put them on a timer

Yea, just double check. The ones I had were high flow specific.

Thanks for all the reply's and options. It is definitely a time consuming struggle to manual get at all of them. I am sure not scrubbing them because I would need to dang near tear down the aqua scape to get them all. I have used aptasia x with some success but will probably try the boiling ro water and a syringe.

Thanks I will, the ones I have look about the same as the pic, they about 1/4" long and white. cool little guys. I did see one on top of some rock with the power heads running and he seemed to moving along ok.

Berghia being high flow or low flow is dependent on their size. I don't believe they are different types.
