Hello Aquaforest

Can you tell me what source material is your carbon is made from, the activation process - physical or chemical, & any specs such as iodine number, & lastly the physical size of the granules.

Thanks

Aquaforest Carbon is steam activated - that's why it's is very porous that's why is very effective and pure - it not contains phosphates.
Size of granules is ⌀ 4mm and over 1cm long
1,022 iodine number mg/g (do not miss with iodine content)

Thanks for the reply.

What material is it made from e.g. coconut shell, lignite ?

I cannot answer that one, I use it. Looked at the container and just says produced under lab conditions. :)

Everyone has the own proprietary source and ingredients. ;)

Ok thanks for the link.

Not sure where you're going with this, that why I posted. ;)
