i'll go buy some fireworks today as well than because that is the day i've been waiting for over this whole process lol.
i do have a couple questions related to that too.
first, when i initially mixed everything i didn't have a digital scale and converted everything to tablespoons. after noticing the components have slightly different sized flakes i realized that they probably aren't meticulously measured and it has bothered me ever since.
also, i mix my components in a 5L container for each and have noticed my Calcium isn't the pristine clear color it once was and has taken a little bit of a brownish tint. do these things expire and should i consider ditching the remaining 2L of each component in favor of brand new, perfectly portioned solutions?
Pm me your email and I will send you a conversion sheet. This is a good deal on a scale link

right after i mixed the first run of my components i swore i'd never do it that way again and went out and purchased a decent digital scale to use specifically for aquarium products as my gfo was best measured by weight as well so i'm covered :)
aside from that i have to pay you guys a million thank you's. the support here is outstanding and it makes me appreciate my switch over to aquaforest products that much more!

I personally will like a beer over thanks.....lol:p

@landlubber if your interested or maybe you have seen it I don't know. Maybe not??

I did make a video on mixing up components 1,2,3 . It's pretty detailed and in it I use the 5 liter jugs.

Here it is.

i hadn't seen it and as simple an operation as it is there were still some valuable tips in there. physically writing out the measures on the batch containers is a fantastic idea that i will definitely be borrowing. great video man!

Your very welcome[emoji4]

Thanks for the compliment! Glad you liked it. [emoji4]

good morning @Anirban
24 hours ago: Ca 440 Alk 7.84 Mg 1380
today: Ca 440 Alk 8.48 Mg 1425
the calcium remains unchanged which isn't unusual as it seems to drop after 2 days. i dosed Alk yesterday which is self explanatory but i wasn't expecting such a jump in mag and will probably retest that one in 30 mins when i have some time. either way, i'm guessing we're going to wait another day for the Ca to drop that last little bit and for the Mg to straighten itself out.
edit: i took my time and retested Mg and got 1395 this time which seems more reasonable so lets go with that.

No Dosing .....I want that Mg to fall to 1350 or less where we will hold that and the Ca to 430 mark.

i would guess we'll see those numbers by either sunday or monday. fingers crossed!

good morning @Anirban everything is relatively unchanged today aside from magnesium which fell back into place after it's spike yesterday.
24 hours ago: Ca 440 Alk 8.48 Mg 1425
currently: Ca 440 Alk 8.48 Mg 1365
the only change in the system over the past few days was adding 170ml of alkalinity a couple of days ago now.
one other thing, it's kind of falling at an unfortunate time but the next measurement i will be posting will be on Sunday morning as i will be out of town until then.

Oops ...lets try the components. If you already have them ready then give them a good shake and start dosing 30 ml per day of each components. You can split them all through the day. We will see what happens on sunday.

good morning @Anirban
2 days into dosing again and things held on pretty good.
48 hours ago: Ca 440 Alk 8.48 Mg 1365
currently: Ca 435 Alk 8.48 Mg 1425
i replaced my Mag kit and found that this one tests slightly higher than the kit we've been using but still within reason.

Good, Thats fine. Now cut the dosing half 15 ml of each component everyday.

good day @Anirban
the parameters held pretty good over the last 24 hours with just the alkalinity dipping slightly
24 hours ago: Ca 435 Alk 8.48 Mg 1425
currently: Ca 435 Alk 8.32 Mg 1425
my calcium test was definitely on the lower end of the 435 reading and i would guess will be lower yet tomorrow. the tank usually takes a couple of days after an adjustment to show the effect with a test kit anyway so i'll just report back in 24 hours. cool?

You are good...;)

hey there @Anirban
well things have been holding pretty well at 15ml/day and provided the alkalinity doesn't change much i'd guess we are close to landing.
24 hours ago: Ca 435 Alk 8.32 Mg 1425
currently: Ca 425 Alk 8.32 Mg 1440
as expected my sps really didn't appreciate this process and are still on edge unfortunately but i think it all gets better from here.
i'll be through my bottles of np pro and pro bio s which hasn't seemingly changed a lot in my system other than a very small amount of cyano bacteria showing up shortly after i started dosing them. my nitrate hovers at the 1ppm mark and my phosphate at 0.03-.10ppm do you suggest i continue on with those products ongoing?
also, my tank is in dire need of a water change. the gha is pretty bad and i suspect everything would benefit so should i just get back to you on the weekend to relay my numbers?
