Welcome to R2R. This is a great community to receive & share information/ideas. I can show you what I have done with bracing on a few large tank builds I have done.

I buy my tanks used (Craigslist, FB marketplace etc.) strip them down to glass , clean, re-seal then use aluminum angles for the bracing.

Corners and sides I use joint plates and wire. Gives a modern/industrial look, lets in 99.99% light and no cleaning.

This particular tank was purchased for $250 (210gal. 7' x 2' x 2') Adding a low iron front pane and pencil glass for reinforced seams. $300. Cleaning supplies, silicone $100. Misc. $50. Tanks this size in the US are well over 2K and take months for delivery.

Most distressing was the wife nagging to finish it and get it out of the garage and living room. o_O

Hope this gives you and others some ideas on your build and welcome to R2R.
Wow!! That’s awesome! love your ideas! How’d you attach the bottom strips on? Just silicone? Is the top silicones in also?

how did you manage to tighten the wire on the top to get the tighter tension?

those are riveTs holding the plates on Yes?

For the bottom I didn't use silicone it was a rubberized adhesive, I don't remember the brand. The wire I cut to length which gives plenty of strength and crimped the ends with some stop sleeves. All can be bought at a local hardware store.

The mending plates I didn't use rivets, (tried on a different tank and it didn't work out well) they are added for a better looked. I used JB Metal Weld which is easy to work with and has a unbelievable bond.

Ok I’ll look in to that idea... So that strengthens the base.

always wondered how they were done the top bracing and you got it sorted, good stuff! Looks great so professional the way you painted it also.

so by looks of it you used dabs here and there not so much the entire length of the bracket right? Wouldn’t think you’d get on in time before it set.

So can you tell me on the joint plates what are they if they ain’t Rivets?

thank you for your prompt replies much appreciated.

No problem. The joining plates I couldn't find locally and ended buying them online. joining plates with screws
A site Tnutz.com is another good source. They sell metric and standard sizes.
