Well I'm committed to see if it works in my new system. Started with all dry rock nothing will be added until I see the purple and pink growing.

I switch over to a new build. I seen a small amount of pink on a rock that already had purple coralline. I plan on dosing a full 2 bottles, 1 bottle every 3 weeks for 4 months.

I've noticed this too. Coralline algae does not like high intensity light. I'm not sure what that PAR is. Would be good to know.

It works. The pink I’m finding to be a colder water coraline. I have had some temp swings this winter and before the issue was corrected the pink was really coming in good. Now that it is a solid 78 it has almost all disappeared and been replaced with purple coraline. Just my experience . My build thread in signature has pics of the coraline.

I recently dropped my temperature to 72°-74° degrees and noticed more coraline growing off my frags.. I haven't put much effort to the coraline, had a velvet outbreak. Under control and almost over with.

Wait what? You don't need an rodi system to balance salinity. First I hope you have a filter tap at home with a great filter. If you don't it's really healthy and I'd recommend one. Second, you can get away with using that and spending less on addatives and get a few healthy things maybe you missed. I understand balancing, however after running on a constant overall test; by the way Reef Crystals are way to jacked on alk and calc. That filter tap should be beyond sufficient enough for your reef. I do it all the time, only problem I every had was alk and calc, so no water changes till we get reef Crystal's balanced.

I have a one sensor and it works great, no board though. This is new and would keep your salinity in check. You'll have to add a freshwater tank.

Hey everyone I recently got back into my tank. I’ve been reading around and wanted to try arc coralline algae in a bottle.

I was on amazon it came up in some searches when ordering fish food I ended up pre ordering the new pink bottle it was a few $ more on amazon I noticed after I went on arc website I also saw it was ready for shipping so I shot them an email with hopes they could ship it out earlier.

Tom @ arc got it shipped out the next day and offered me a refund of the difference also told me he was going to throw in a piece of rock in the bottle so I can see what the end result would be.

Got my package today. I received two bottles one pink and one purple so shout out to arc for the gift lol

The pink rock looks insane something in the tank moved it though having trouble finding it under blue lights will upload a picture tomorrow.

Are you matching the parameters on the bottle 100%?

I used this stuff and to me it works, it just takes time. I started seeing coralline algae a couple months after using this stuff. Now was it from the bottles I put in or was it from doing it on its own??? We may never know but I do know I have coralline algae now. It would be interesting to know if by adding more now would I get more coralline algae or not???

There is a guy on ebay who has been selling this exact product for over 10 years seems like they copied him and added a bunch of marketing his is called oceans dna or something like that .If your parameters are in check it does work because it’s live algae so it’s like any other algae add it and the right parameters and it will grow

When I blast actinics (300 PAR or so) I get a sort of 4" ring of pinkish algae growing on my glass, but when I don't run that same light, I do not get those algaes... My tank is low light, around 50 PAR generally with a 10 hour photoperiod.

I used 2 bottles about a year ago. Nothing much happened. The about 8-9 months later... coralline everywhere. I think something in my tank must have changed or matured and that is responsible for all the growth.
The bottles probably did seed the tank, but it was laying pretty dormant until the tank parameters were just right for it to take off.

To the doubters or naysayers, you are all in either 3 boats, those who have not used the product, those who have but did not get results due to something with their own system rather than the product, or those who think the cost is too much.

The fact is that it is real Corraline Algae and it works great. I can show any doubters factual evidence if they need it. I got explosive growth immediately upon dumping a bottle into my 10 month (at the time) old tank that was started with dry rock. That tank has perfect paramaters and I mean perfect. I saw spots all over within 2 day's and the product does not even claim you will see it until about 8-10 weeks if your paramaters are good. It was covering a good portion of my rock within a month.

I want to be clear about this, my tank was 10 months and went through a very long and thorough cycling process that did not even include lights on in the tank until 6 months in. My rock was precured in bacteria and saltwater in tubs for 3 months prior to being added to the tank. Then the lights were slowly worked up to full power over several months. I took my tank slow and did not add any coral until about the 1 year mark. At 10 months, my tank was primed for Coralline growth and you will get it if your paramaters are right.

As far as cost goes, there is no easier way to get the amount of Coralline in the amount of time that it took me. I will gladly pay the small charge that it cost. The naysayers can worry about their own pocket books. This is one of the best products in the industry period.
