Are elevated nutrients a problem, or not?

So, F me. I see what I did wrong. I need to do both tanks differently, but I took part of one and part of the other and made my own. Much like sports betting. Don’t do what I do. I had the instructions out as this is a 1 ML vs others from them at 2. dang it Jim! Sigh… lol. Ok. Let’s try this again.

Does the starting point matter? Is it the nutrient itself or the "other" associated by-products from the origin of that nutrient that causes problems?
I wouldn't expect similar outcomes from dosing ammonia chloride to the equivalent amount of N in a pile detritus, if the N from both ultimately ends up as 20ppm nitrate.

You're right - it depends on the 'nutrient itself'. EDIT - to answer your question - yes - at some point the 'starting point' matters what that point is depends on your tank and the inhabitants.
