Are Radion g5's a problem ?

2 XR15s over a 65g DT. 36x22x22. No they won't cook coral. I have them on standard 8 inch RMS mounts and 100% schedule intensity on the AB plus program using diffusers means barely 300 par a few inches below the water line.

Then your lights MUST NOT be functioning correctly.

What problems are you referring to? The cracked casing issue? That only affected the first batch and they replaced the casing free of charge

I would say there isn't another LED on market with a better track record than Radions. Especially the G5

Ive been readin alot that the lights have been turning on randomly at night by many people on facebook groups, also the light go out of sync then they need to reboot it all and its apparently a nightmare but after posting this thread it may just be a handful of people

Please, please use the lights before you post something like this.

I have 2 XR30 G5s over my 90g. Growing acros like crazy and starting a second frag tank because of the overgrowth.

Looking great peter, i wasnt saying they are bad lights i was asking so i know what i should do but i will stick with them as you guys have alhad awesome success

I have an XR15 G5 Pro. The light fixture itself is fine, however, you need to use the Mobius software to actually use it....and the Mobius software is horrible. I spent three or four hours on TWO separate occasions trying to connect to my light, not to mention additional time reprogramming all the settings because my settings were wiped out.

Maybe the Mobius problems are resolved, maybe they aren't.......time will tell. I have already stated in another thread that I will take a hammer to it the next time I can't connect to it and replace it with something else from another manufacturer.

I've had them purchased new for 1 year 9 months. They are calibrated and work fine with mobius. The diffusers only drop 20 par measured with par meter. They seem 100% operational. There are tons of threads talking about the weak par from XR15 lights. Nothing new and my lights are functioning properly with good spread from the diffusers. They are just average powered lights. The 30s are much better.

I ran Radium’s/ T5s combo for many years and recently made the switch to Radions G5 blues/ Orphek blue bars combo and couldn’t be happier

I do not have any issues with mobius nor the programming from an apple and love the color the blue G5. Grew tons of coral from pretty much all gens each one works a little different. If anything I did not like using the old plug in ecosmartlive. No more laptop to make changes or look at program.
