Ive never heard of an amphipod “eat” coral. Are you sure it wasn’t something else?Amphipods started eating my coral, so yes, they’re bad.
I’m absolutely positive. My green star polyps had them and didn’t open up for a week. I also saw the amphipods actually eating the coral. I did a freshwater dip and nothing else came off.Ive never heard of an amphipod “eat” coral. Are you sure it wasn’t something else?
Oh man that’s not good thenAmphipods started eating my coral, so yes, they’re bad.
This could be true. Mine were also massive. One was half an inch long. Most amphipods never touch coral and help clean up your tank. I think @TheShrimpNibbler had an experience with an uncommon species that ate coral. I’ve only heard of this a few times, so it is very unlikely that these pods will hurt your tank.
