Are these lights good for 110gal mixed reef?

I have a 110gal display mixed reef tank.
48" long x 18" wide x 28" deep. I have softies and starting to get into sps.
The lights I have now are current usa orbit led and fluval sea reef led.
I do not think these lights are doing the job.

I'm looking into t5 lights because I understand they simply "work" and will light the tank and grow my coral.

Having said that, please take a look at these lights and let me know if they will do what's needed.
I don't hands a ton of money for lights. I need something simple, plug and play that works.

Neither would be my preference for your tank but of the two the mh fixture will be better for sps. The t5 fixture will not be intense enough. You may be better off looking for a used t5 6x48" tek or ati fixture.

I have a 125 mixed reef.
I run a 6' long current T5 fixture in the back and 2 mars aqua led black boxes.
With the 5' long bulbs of the T5 I spent less the 500.
It's worth looking into the black boxes.
You can't "tune" them a lot there are only 2 switches with each one having a dimmer on it, but I'm am really satisfied with the results.

I might have a line on an old marineland fixture.
48" 6 lights. Two mh and 4 t5.
Anyone know about these lights? I've heard good things about them but they have been discontinued for a while now.
I can get it for $50. I know I would have to buy new bulbs but if the light is a good one for my tank them the price is very right!

Thoughts?

Thank you. I'm trying to get it to look better and better healthier. That's why I'm looking into better lighting.

If everything works it's pretty cheap. As far as a 28" deep tank it might not penetrate that great as the reflectors are the weak point. Personally I would wait and buy something that will work perfectly for your needs. If you need to save for a few mths, that's what I would do.

I got the light for $25 but one ballast for the MH is bad.
The light is a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be. Replacement ballast looks like it will run about $80 to $100 so I might just scrap the light and eat the $25 cost.

I'm liking the MH T5 combo that's posted on ebay. I'm a fan of simple plug and play.

Why would it not be a good option for my tank? I'm me to the lighting aspect of coal keeping.
I'm new to coral keeping in general.

I really don't want to spend more than $300 on lights but I want something that's going to get the job done, something that I can mount on the tank (no hanging lights) and simple plug and play.
Sps are and will be mounted mid to high in tank.

Any suggestions?

If you cant find these on ebay search pm amazon. I've heard from several people that they work great, lots of sps growth, the a guy that reviews these on YouTube and has three over his... 180 I think. I'm buying two for my 75.

Honestly I can't say for sure whether or not they're the same. I just know that those light specifically are the ones I've heard good things about, and when I posted something else about them in another forum so one else said they had them and they worked great. I'm not sure if they are the same or they're different, I'm just going to go with them.

After researching these lights I'm almost more confused than before.
I've read thread after thread on these lights and still no real answers besides these lights work very well.

My question for you folks that have knowledge and or experience with these lights is this....

Will two of them do what is needed for my tank?

Is the a big difference between the lights as I see quite a few with different price points from 2 lights for $150 to 2 lights for $286 with the only difference seems to be a remote control.

If I narrow it down, which ones are best for my tank? Dimensions 48" long x 18" wide x 24" deep from sand to water surface?

They are very similar to one another besides the vispectra having built in timers and a bit different spectrum. I would pic the vispectra spectrum over the MARS. I do have a mars light and it worked just fine growing and coloring up sps.

IMO either light would work well if you hung two over your tank.

Not all black box led's are created equal. The units you posted the spectrum is pretty close and they are all manually dimmable. BUT the mars in your last post is the only of the three with two plugs. So that is a deal breaker if you ask me, it means you can't run only blue led. One of the better black box units out there would be sbreef as the spectrum they run is better than most.

You can also look at reefbreeders and ocean revive led's. I would go with one of these three as they are reputable. But if your price range is the vipars or mars they should work just fine as well.

kkep the fixture get ati tubes . dont use the MH, use the current orbit instead. Youll love it.
