I think soAren't Tiger Conchs and Strawberry Conchs the same?
If its a 13.5 its a little tight. I personally wouldn't unless you have a pretty deep sandbed.Oh cool! I heard these would work in a Evo??
Any experience/opinions?
Surprisingly a bunch of people in the Fluval Evo group I am in have them and accept it is possible & fine candidate for the tank (assuming with more than a 1" sandbed). I am asking how long they have lasted for people and so far hearing years. If its a 13.5 its a little tight. I personally wouldn't unless you have a pretty deep sandbed.
I want one for my 50 and I think thats a bit tight still. On small tanks like that I use nassarius vibex and dwarf cerith instead.
The species is pretty important when we’re talking about a 10-20 gallon tank.I would not care about the species of conch. As long as it is not actually whelk, they do the same thing.
I am sorry, I did not read the whole thread. In a tank that size I think nassiusus snails would be a better sandshifterThe species is pretty important when we’re talking about a 10-20 gallon tank.
Thats really interesting! Id be curious to hear. I guess for me I'd like to give it more room to traverseSurprisingly a bunch of people in the Fluval Evo group I am in have them and accept it is possible & fine candidate for the tank (assuming with more than a 1" sandbed). I have a lot of them in the tank already!I am sorry, I did not read the whole thread. In a tank that size I think nassiusus snails would be a better sandshifter
Yeah I think max size it seems a bit overkill for the tank. Somone very reliable in the group just said they had a couple starve so now I’m weary.Thats really interesting! Id be curious to hear. I guess for me I'd like to give it more room to traverse
I'm very fond of tongan fighting conch as well, maybe look into those?Yeah I think max size it seems a bit overkill for the tank. Somone very reliable in the group just said they had a couple starve so now I’m weary.
I do not think you would need anymore conchs in a tank that size.I have a lot of them in the tank already
I meant nassiarus snails they don’t really do much in terms of keeping the 2” sand bed cleanI do not think you would need anymore conchs in a tank that size.
Sorry about the misunderstanding. I just remember one in a 20 gallon at an lfs starving to death.I meant nassiarus snails they don’t really do much in terms of keeping the 2” sand bed clean
Remember the species? I think a strawberry is the only conch that could be successfully kept in a nano long term, but still could be a gamble.Sorry about the misunderstanding. I just remember one in a 20 gallon at an lfs starving to death.
