ARE YOU A FISH OR CORAL PERSON?

I suppose it's fish first, but I really wouldn't want to do one without the other at this point. I could never have just a coral only tank, and my desire to have a butterfly FOWLR just doesn't seem to interest me anymore. I'd rather get a bigger tank and have some of the reef safe butterfly in there with coral!

It used to be fish for me. But then I got a few corals and really love watching their behavior. Then I look in the refugium and love watching all the pods and the caulerpa grow. And last week I look in the tank and see that my trochus snails have reproduced and that excites me. I think creating and caring for this mini ecosystem and watching how all the creatures interact and behave is awesome. No way I can single out what I like best

You need a third option. I got into saltwaterfor the invertebrates! If I had to get rid of either fish or corals I'd have corals and invertebrates. I keep freshwater fish so to justify the harder work and bigger expense of saltwater there has to be something I can't have in freshwater.

I initially bought my first tank for fish. Then I soon found out about Corals and that consumed me this past year. Now I'm interested in fish too but I'll need a bigger tank. [emoji848][emoji17]

Fish and anemones in the tank at home. All my coral is in the 180's I gave to my 3 grown children.

Watching them interact is always fascinating. Even the small ones have their own personality.

Then soft corals and Frogspawn.
Basically anything with movement.

Anything that reminds me of being in the water and swaying back and forth just beyond the waves.
