I have seen more double posting going on lately.
Yes, this happened to me as well. I posted a reply and the page refreshed after my reply was sent but I couldn’t see my reply. So I hit it again and found the double post. (iPhone safari).

1. What issues are you having? (be specific) Yup lots of times the webpage will not respond and it appears to be down. I was expecting it is running the CPU at 100% indexing and just cant respond in time.

I also get hangs when editing posts (like in my build thread). I have to refresh the page and sometimes loose my edits.

2. Are the issues all the time or sporadic? What times of the day?
Throughout the day and sporadic

3. Are you using the desktop, mobile or app version of R2R? (the mobile and app versions are different be specific). I use IPAD, IPHONE and Desktop. All experience similar issues.

4. Have you cleared your cookies/cache and tried it afterwards? No due to the fact that I have issues on multiple platforms I had not yet tried that.

I cleared my cache and cookies etc. Its working. I also verified two part authentication is working but may be out of sync. I had to refresh the page and wait for a new code on authy . That one worked as expected

1. What issues are you having? (be specific)
Pages do not always load. They most often do, but occasionally when I click on New Posts or Unanswered posts the connection seems to time out.

2. Are the issues all the time or sporadic? What times of the day?
Very sporadic and not easy to pin down, but I check R2R in the evening probably when most other users are too.

3. Are you using the desktop, mobile or app version of R2R? (the mobile and app versions are different be specific)
I have mostly noticed this issue on my desktops where I do most of my R2R. I have had the issue once since the update on my mobile, but my wifi can be spotty on mobile so I wasn't sure if it's me or the server.

4. Have you cleared your cookies/cache and tried it afterwards?
I have tried it now and will update this post if the issue persists.

1. What issues are you having? (be specific)

Site seems slow. Also I notice it will say I have notifications but when I click on them it doesn't load in the preview part only when I load all them at once.

2. Are the issues all the time or sporadic? What times of the day?

sporadic

3. Are you using the desktop, mobile or app version of R2R? (the mobile and app versions are different be specific)

desktop and mobile.

4. Have you cleared your cookies/cache and tried it afterwards?

No

Any more details would be great!

1. Slow "sticky" loading. Takes a while for alert panel to load for example, and takes awhile for posts to load. (Also, R2R was constantly going offline yesterday but I assume that was the server stress test)

2: This is speratic, not constant.

3: Desktop: chrome & Mobile: chrome (android)

4: yup yup. Still happens.

All in all its not super noticable though.

1. What issues are you having? (be specific)

Sluggish performance - pages not always loading (have to reload)
When pressing 'like' or 'reply' the little icon appears (like a timer) at the upper right of the screen - like its processing - sometimes you have to reload the page
When typing in a thread - and you click post the post seems not always to be in the correct order?
2. Are the issues all the time or sporadic? What times of the day?

Maybe more last PM - but have happened at all-time
3. Are you using the desktop, mobile or app version of R2R? (the mobile and app versions are different be specific)
Desktop

4. Have you cleared your cookies/cache and tried it afterwards?

Yes

1. The site is slow loading any page, it will timeout multiple times per day. The like button is also slow and sometimes doesn't respond and must be pushed multiple times. My replies don't always work so I have to click that more than once. Alerts won't load when hovering over them, just loading thing top right of screen.

2. Sporadic for the past 48 hours or so

3. Desktop Chrome Browser

4. Yes I have cleared cookies/cache - Didn't make it better.

1. What issues are you having? (be specific)

Both desktop (Safari) and mobile (iOS)

4. Have you cleared your cookies/cache and tried it afterwards?

1. What issues are you having? (be specific)

Like button requires a double tap 50% of the time, also noticed switching treads from alert screen lags/locks If I arrow back from toolbar its faster. I also see in the very bottom waiting for permission or authentication (Firewall?)

2. Are the issues all the time or sporadic? What times of the day?

very active threads seem the worst (switching)

1. What issues are you having? (be specific)

Delays hitting reply, new posts, specifically "Post Reply" button. Upper right of UI / Screen on page you will see black box with three bars so you see it is updating / thinking / working.

2. Are the issues all the time or sporadic? What times of the day?

Happens throughout the day.
3. Are you using the desktop, mobile or app version of R2R? (the mobile and app versions are different be specific)

Any more details would be great!

Comcast. West coast, California. Northern. Not sure where your site/portal is located, hosted, or what access you have but if this is something you have admin rights to and depending on the stack you can always pull the log files and parse them to see how long it is taking pages to display assuming you are using Apache or IIS and if the proper bit is set.

There is a lot of add activity and splash screens so not knowing how your content is rendered or if it is using CDN logs may be helpful. Or manually walk though with dev tools to see page render time from a client.

1-yes, slow to load and also saying server timed out.
2-sporadic, nightly and about 2 hours ago.
3- using mobile on Google, IOS
4- I cleared cookies and restarted my phone. It was better after an hour later. For that hour the server kept timing out.
+1 for this. That's what happened with mine but is working fine now

1) slow loading pages and bringing up the alert window

2) I didn’t pay attention. I assumed the issue was on my end.

3) iOS safari

4) no didn’t try that

I haven't noticed a particular time of day that any of this happens. I'm on a laptop.
  • If I post it sometimes freezes and just hangs there. I have to back out then go back in to post.
  • I've also had to do the same when moving to a new page or forum. It won't sometimes won't work unless I get out of the website all together then come back in.
  • I've had difficulty uploading photos.
  • It sometimes disconnects all together saying the sight can't be reached.
