Hi my tabk is now 8 months old and Ive got red plate montipora and it's just starting to fade so I tested again
Calcium is high 600
Alk is high too 8.6
Mag is 1470
Reason for this fault is I've just bought a new dosing pump and trying to adjust so I've stopped dosing calcium and alk for now

But because there high what can I do and whats gunna happen to my montipora

Thank you any advice please

Monti's are hardy and as long as you keep your water stable (after correcting any issues) it will make a comeback.
Agreed. By the looks of the monti I would say the alk spike is the issue. What do you normally keep it at? 8.6 isn't terribly high but it you kept it lower and it raised quickly the spike can cause issues. Once things are stabilized I would bet it will be ok.

My no3 and po4 is 0

So how should I lower my calcium because that's really high

My alk was at 7.0

If ALK spiked in a ULNS it will cause issues.
If no3 and po4 are present it will have a less dramatic influence on the monti

I would let it fall naturally. The high calcium isn't too much of a concern. Dramatically dropping either cal or alk (especially alk) is going to do more harm than good in my opinion.

Ok so just keeping testing regulary but keep dosing magnesium cause my magnesium is perfect

I dose BRS two part and I will only test for Magnesium once a month. It seems like I'll only need to dose Magnesium once every two months.

No I'm not growing mangroves
Ok I'll stop dosing magnesium
