ATI 8 bulb sunpower + reefbrite led strip

I'm looking to add an Reefbrite to my ATI 8 bulb dimmable. I asked Joy at MACNA to see the difference between the tech and the XHO. They only had 24" ones there, but the difference in light output between the 2 was crazy. Enough to convince me to get the XHO for sure. It was to bad they didn't have one on the ATI fixtures at the ATI booth, would have liked to see it with the fixture to get a better idea.
I "believe" not 100% sure unless i give it a search. Tech uses 3 watt leds opposed to xho uses 7 watt

Yeah but if it helps with growth I don't mind spending the money just like to see results on my investments
Yep from what ive seen, the sps tend to like the addition of an led with t5s. So what better then a reef brite strip =). I have a dimmable ati, so i only view the leds for 45 mins in the morning and 45 mins at night. T5s are great at coloring up stuff, but some acros tend to grow a little bit slower. But you can sorta remedy that with a good bulb combo. The addition of the led strip is what makes the ati fixture, the led is what gives the corals the extra umph.. along with a nice view!

Sorry about the picture quality, had to snapshot this from my instagram on a video i took today. I delete all my phone pictures so i couldnt wait till tomorrow =)
Still looks awesome !

I did 2 because of the Peninsula style tank and wanted even coverage. If you have a standard reef ready tank one xho angled towards the back will be good

It's definitely a great combo. You will like it

The above tank is 38 gallon, no skimmer, tap water. I dose NO3 and some PO4, so I have a little algae problem, although the tuxedo urchins are helping a lot. Also have a billion pods. I have a mandarin that's fat as hell and doesn't even dent the pod population. The Reef Brite light is hanging in front of the T-5.

Nice gonna have to go with 2 think it would look more balanced if it's 2 much I can turn off 2 bulbs to start
I would definitely go with two. It isn't necessary, but keeps the blues on everything all the time. I think there is much better growth as well as coloration with the ReefBrites.

Pull the trigger and ordered a 48" xho strip

Got it from aquarium specialty never bought from them before so hopefully they are good to deal with
