After how many strikes does this spectrum shift occurs? Is it gradual? If so, after how many strikes is the shift significant enough to affect our corals? Is it a visible change? Sorry for asking so many things.

Way too many different factors to have a hard number that is the same for everyone. It all depends on how many times the bulb is turned on, the length of hours the bulb has being on, the type of ballast used, and the working temperature the bulbs run at.

Both running a bulb too cold or too hot affect it's performance.

As for spectrum shift it will be gradual and it will shift to red. Too much red can be bad news to corals.

Running a bulb 8-10 hours a day turning on once on a quality programmed start ballast and a quality bulb can easily last a year. Some people don't change bulbs after a year and half but I think that's pushing it. Anyone running an ATI fixture or Giesemann I can safely say that your bulbs will last a year easy. ATI uses HEP and Giesemann uses Phillips Advanced of which the latter is the best ballast on the market.

Just use manual mode to burn the bulbs in for 50 hours. Then you can set your dimming schedule.

Most of us have to take 1 of those we call JOB. Manual mode is for retired or work from home people or people that keep tanks in their office. 99% of us Reefers do not operate that way :-)

I have the ATI dimmable set up on my tank. I checked the par when I got the fixture at 80% White 90% blue and it was 700 at the waterline and 18 inches down sand bed 250 this is with the lights 8 inches off the water line. I checked the par six months after and got 670 and 225. been this way for 4 months now. I had black boxes on my tank before I upgraded to this fixture. I'll probably never go back to LEDs with the colors I'm getting out of the T5.
Add some suppliment Leds on the front and back if you want for some additional coloring and pop effect. Reefbrite and diy can easily be mounted without damaging the fixture

I've been an ati owner for a just about a year now. 48" 8x54 dimmable. Love it! I never bought a controlers of any kind so this was good for me. To those who are a fan of the led look, they are an easy add on. The color varity and spread of light is better with t5. The color pop and capable intensity can be great with led. Why not have both?? Some people use reefbrite xho that bolt right on the ati fixture. (No additional holes need be made) I personally use 3 watt cree diy with a majority of royal blue for the intense fluorescence effect. I have a 120 mixed reef with lots of sps that have gained a LOT of color after in my system for 2 weeks and going forward. Great combo if you ask me.

those that prefers the non dimmable. (I know for the fact because of the price differences).

if the price are the same for both units, please dont tell me that you still prefer the non dimmable.
