Attention wifi controlled black box owners

I am referring to the aquarium light app. I have the evergrow version which run on this app. They are the ones that told me about the software not working on 5g band.

I am not a computer person, but i know what they told me, which fixed the problem. I can try to attach the emails. They went as far as to ship me new wifi boards to replace the old ones, but i ended up not needing them.

There is a good chance that was your issue. Those boards do only operate on the 2.4ghz frequency. However, this is a conflict with inoperable software.

Ok i was just trying to give insight into the app, wether it helped or not i do not know. As i said i am not a computer person, i am a hammer and welder person. Neither are very useful in this hobby though lol

The first pic is the extender that i had to buy and set to 2.4 for the app to work the last pic is my main router which is 5 g and the kights couldnt be found when trying to use it. Even after shutting down all other wifi devices in the house.

I had the same problem .. with iPhone .. I also contacted a few shops in China I was also sent new qcodes for the aquarium light app .. didn’t work .. only way I could get it working was too download the aqdim3 app on an old android telephone .. works perfectly now ... I believe iPhone have removed all apps that’s don’t run 64bit

Got the same issue over here... its not aindroid supported anymore the aqdim3 app. try AquariumLight app from the app store this will probably work as it did for me. Greeting from holland!

Don't know what to tell you. Another reefer had the same issue and they pulled out an old Android phone to get it working..

Yes 'IF" it's like some other Chinese software only certain versions of Android work...re: tablets

Phones.. ??? various "os's" in phones work w/ stuff or don't work w/ stuff.. Kind of a cr@p shoot..

hi, i used to have the aqdim3 app and worked flowlesly but it was pulled out from the appstore, so i downloaded de Aquarium Light app, this new app does not seem to find the light, even putting it as access point or conecting it to my router.
i can connect to the the light ip address and see all parameters, so the wifi card in the light is working ok, it is just the app does not seem to find it,
I contacted manufacturer and was told i have to replace wifi card in the light as new app does not support it.
I find that difficult to believe as i can find it with a computer.
any comment, or anyone who can connect using the new Aquarium Light app and can show the ip parameters?

anyone who can connect with aquarium light app, please enter in the light web interface (192.168.1.254) and send pictures of the configuration of the board? serial ip, ports, etc.

anyone who is succeding connecting to any app, can show light settings? they are shown going to 192.168.1.254 in any web browser.
I would like to see which port and which ip is the app connecting to.

If u mean this :

i had problems with second light but i am not aware of solution because it was combination of reseting wifi on lights, removing passwords from router and looking reactions on mobile app etc.
After all combinations i entered router wifi password in mobile app and that last time it worked.It recognized new light and first one.

I mean if you go to 192.168.0.18 which is the light ip address it will open a configuration profile of the light, you are accesing to the wifi module of the light which holds the port and ip of the serial to net configuration.
