Automatic RODI with GHL

Also, would you need a valve at the end of the pipe near the top off, or would you submerge it to stop air getting in?

Best to turn the water going to the Ro/DI water with a float switch controlling the level in the container for the Ro/Di water is kept. Would not have the water going from the Ro/Di going directing into the tank wit an ATO switch. Have seen this fail to many times down turn the years on people’s tanks.
Switch’s do fail to work and need to be checked and cleaned regularly.

Yeah. I am having a secondary top up tank in the sump for that reason.

Just need to work out how to fit a flush valve.

Anyone got an idea how I would make an automated flush valve with a GHL controller?

I propose to make up the RO unit with the flow restrictor and then add a solenoid valve to the waste and simple have the controller open this valve when the top up water tank low level indicator is activated.

Then turn it off after 2 min etc.

Any input?

I think it would just be the low level indicator in the fresh water top of.

When that opens the water flow to the RO unit and turns on the booster pump, it opens the flush valve for 2 min.

Just need to work out how to plumb it.
