Awesome SPS Growth with LED's

Here is how my lights are programed. I've also got random clouds throughout the day. I did just turn my whites down a bit had them on 10 hours. I think a bit much. Each dotted line represents a light, whites, blue, royal blue, red, UV. The Vertex is very programable....

These are all great to see! Thanks for posting. I'm jumping right into Saltwater and heading right for SPSs - they are my favorite. I'm going to buy the new Echotech Radion PRO. I figure since I'm new, I'm just going to go for it so hopefully I will have no excuses and not struggle too much out of the gate.

It's always good to get the right equipment first but remember patients , can't express that enough!

Haven't been reading the forum for a while, but when I did, every once in a while I'd see you selling frags, and wish that either you we're up here in Toronto or I was down in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. Glad the LED's are working out well for you. From what I've heard, Vertex are the best.

You guys are killin me! I have a very temporary 29G holding tank that has been my only tank for the last year and a half....I just have to get my LED's and I will be setting up my 120G In-Wall tank.....I'm going the DIY route, full spectrum with dimmable sunrise / sunset....I am inspired by what I see here and cannot wait to start my own SPS grow out......that's what I always seem to end up with......:smile:

Nice dorky. That purple bonsai acropora looks familiar, maybe you got it from AF in Homewood? If your looking for SPS locally maybe you should check out a guy name Gary in Montgomery. He has some nice frags, literally hundreds of nice pieces. Also he is a world of information. All his frag tanks are under the Chinese LED’s and seem do be doing fine.

chameleon i have no idea what the name of the acro behind the bonsi i got it from AF it growing like crazy n have a frag of it sitting right next it. i still love ur red meat it one of my favorite coral in ur tank aside the milis.
