Baby gig

Above is progression of it eating.
Below are a few more after eating. I put a piece of bigger rock next to it hoping it climbs on.

This guy is one of the baby you DID NOT suck out of the mother Gig right? The only one?
How big is he in actual size. Diameter of 1/6,1/4, or 1/2 inch?
Now that he can eat, I am sure you can raise him really quickly.
I can think up of multiple ways to set up a tank that will have adequate circulation but safe for the babies. Hopefully so they won't get chewed up by circulation.
I actually see the pod next to it. I guess about 1/4 inch diameter. He will be fine.

Get a larger rock with crevice or concave area. Put the anemone and the small rock on it's side, or even partially upside down. When you do this the anemone will climb on the larger rock. I do this all the time with small Gigantea, althought by samll I mean about 1-2 inches diameter.

Yes about a 1/4”. No not sucked out. I found it sitting under the disk of the purple on a tiny piece of sand or something. I don’t know how old it is but sure is small.

Purple has only about a dozen of these now. Didn’t see anymore floaters but didn’t look much for them today either.

Great thread. Please keep us update. You are writing the Gigantea Bible in this thread.

Lost quite a bit of its color but it’s still here...
Should I feed it again today? Or wait until tomorrow? Looks like it handled food well from yesterday.

Is this too many pics? I’m trying to get as many shots with varying distances for focus and color.

I looked for more today, didn’t find anymore. It’s hard to see inside the egg crate/light diffuser my rocks are on covering the bottom, it’s 1/2”x1/2” and I can’t see the bottoms, so it’s possible the little ones could settle there too. Sucked several more out today too, but the pods stole them. Trying to keep the tiny ones sucked out is a lost cause without a 200 hour day to play.

Here’s a pic of it eating today, meal #2 ,
And a bunch more after it ate.

I would feed every other day instead of daily. He is looking good. Seem to grow fast

Awesome! I don't think we can have too many pics! Keep up the great work!
